The distinction that makes Akers Construction stand out from others is their emphasis on people over money. It's not just about money with this team. I also appreciate that they are flexible.  They are willing to collaborate work with you if you have design and/or building experience, but they are also more than capable of taking on the full service for those who aren't sure about what to do or how to approach a project. It's not just about "what you do" though, sometimes it's just as important about "how you did it."  It's about how you treat people when you work together.  Honesty, fairness, commitment, integrity, motivations, and priorities aligned with your goals. If there were more stars I would definitely give it. Jared and James went above and beyond our expectations. We knew our porch and stair replacement was going to be a challenging job but after our first meeting with Jared and James we could tell that they're own expectation was to deliver nothing short of a great job. From start to finish everything from our initial meeting, the communication during the job and the finished product was exceptional.  I can't say enough about Akers Construction. Akers construction is top notch.  They do what they say and say what they do.  They are very dependable, reliable and do quality work at competitive pricing.  We needed doors/windows replaced and a sun room floor leveled at the trusses due to poor gradient and consequent drainage issues causing sinking problems.  They were real about the problems causing the issues and offered solutions to fix the problems long term at competitive prices with no shortcuts.  Akers is responsive and easy to work with. I recommend you contact the Akers for any project you have.  You will see their commitment to quality, years of experience in action and the highest levels of precision in what they do. I hired them to address an issue with a sunroom exterior wall that had sunken in one corner, causing the floor to slope about 2 inches over a 12 foot span.  They identified and explained the root causes, as well as the rationale for their proposed solutions which included jacking up the room to bring it level, installing additional supporting piers, minor interior carpentry repairs stemming from portions of the wall being raised, and introducing new drainage solutions to future proof any sort of recurrence.   I was very happy with the end result.   They know their stuff.  I will call on them again if/when I have other home project needs.
